Corgi

Variety: Corgi Gender: Male Age: 8 years old Weight: 12.5 kg;

Treatment Plan: Hemilaminectomy at L2-3 was planned to address intraspinal compression.

Summary: The patient presented with preoperative neurological deficits graded 3-4. Prompt and aggressive surgical intervention carries a favorable prognosis. Preoperative precise diagnosis to locate the compressive lesion is critical for surgical planning. Hemilaminectomy was performed to remove the compressive mass, with bilateral Faun® anti-adhesion membrane applied to the exposed spinal cord, effectively preventing long-term ingrowth of soft tissues such as muscle and fat, providing better prognosis for neurosurgical outcomes.
